Vidu Q4 Pricing

Per-second list rates by resolution, the Preview promo window, and how workspace credits on viduq4.app map to Starter, Pro, Premium, and packs.

Last updated: 2026-10-09

Pricing here has two layers that people mix up. Providers publish a per-second list rate by resolution. This site then sells workspace credits so the same wallet can run this model and the other models in the composer. Credits convert from the vendor estimate for that job; the composer shows the amount before you submit. 10 credits = $1.

The numbers below match the homepage FAQ and checkout. They are not a second, unofficial price list. For how the model actually generates, read the Preview guide. To subscribe or buy a pack, use the checkout page.

Per-second list rates

Image-to-video and reference-to-video share the same list ladder on the providers this site uses:

  • 540p: $0.045 / sec
  • 720p: $0.095 / sec
  • 1080p: $0.12 / sec
  • 2K: $0.19 / sec
  • 4K: $0.39 / sec

Worked list examples before any promo:

  • 3 seconds at 540p → $0.135
  • 5 seconds at 720p → $0.475
  • 8 seconds at 1080p → $0.96
  • 12 seconds at 2K → $2.28
  • 16 seconds at 4K → $6.24

4K is the expensive end of that ladder; 540p is the cheap draft resolution. Duration and resolution both scale the list figure. A 16-second 4K take ($6.24) is not “a bit more” than a 5-second 720p take ($0.475) — it is more than thirteen times that 720p list figure.

Preview promo window

Some providers run a 30% discount on image-to-video and reference-to-video through 30 November 2026. After 1 December 2026 (UTC) the composer falls back to full list.

The same 5-second 720p shot that lists at $0.475 is $0.3325 during the promo (30% off that list). The composer applies the then-current vendor estimate — you do not enter a promo code. If you are comparing an October invoice to a December invoice, the list ladder did not change; the promo did.

How credits on this site work

Each run converts the vendor estimate into workspace credits. The panel shows that credit amount before you submit. If you change duration, resolution, or the audio flag, the estimate updates. Image models in the same composer spend the same credit pool.

Useful identities:

  • 10 credits = $1 of selling price on every plan and pack.
  • You are not billed a surprise second charge after the job starts for the same estimate you accepted.
  • Failed jobs that never incurred vendor cost are the refund case described in the refund policy. A job that started is treated as spent.

Do not reverse-engineer a “credits per second” rule from a screenshot and reuse it next month. Promo status, resolution, and duration all change the vendor estimate. Trust the number on the submit button.

Also do not take a list dollar figure, divide by 0.10, and call that the credit charge. List rates are vendor estimates. Credits are what this site sells (10 credits = $1). The conversion from the vendor estimate to credits is done in the composer and shown before submit. If the two numbers disagree with a spreadsheet you built, the composer wins.

Reading the composer estimate

Open /#create, pick Vidu Q4 or Vidu Q4 Refs, set duration and resolution, and look at the credit figure before you press send.

A sane iteration pattern:

  1. Prove the motion at 540p or 720p and 3–5 seconds.
  2. Lock action and framing.
  3. Re-run the keeper at 1080p (or 2K / 4K if you will grade or crop).
  4. Turn audio off if you will replace sound, so you are not buying a mix you will mute.

That pattern spends most of the wallet on shots you will keep, not on 4K drafts of a prompt you have not finished.

Subscriptions

Subscribe if you generate every month or year. Credits refresh on that cycle. Paid plans allow personal and commercial use, subject to the terms and to your rights in any stills or audio you upload.

Monthly allowances (10 credits = $1):

  • Starter — 159 credits / month ($15.90). Enough for a cautious weekly loop of short 720p drafts plus a few keepers.
  • Pro — 399 credits / month ($39.90). The default if you are generating video and stills on a regular schedule.
  • Premium — 1,090 credits / month ($109.00). Sized for a studio that is running many clips, including higher resolutions.

Yearly plans grant twelve months of credits (Starter 1,908; Pro 4,788; Premium 13,080) and charge once per year. Yearly Starter is 30% off the monthly dollar price; yearly Pro and Premium are 50% off. You still receive the same credit grant as paying monthly for a year — the discount is on dollars, not extra credits. Cards on /pricing show the equivalent monthly price with the usual monthly price struck through.

Cancel from billing settings whenever you want. Renewals stop; the current period stays usable until it ends.

One-time packs

Buy a pack for a single project with no renewal:

  • 99 credits — $9.90
  • 299 credits — $29.90
  • 599 credits — $59.90

Packs stay valid for 365 days from purchase. They do not auto-renew. Same 10 credits = $1 rate as subscriptions. Same commercial-use rule as paid plans.

A pack is the right tool when you have one campaign, one product film, or a two-week spike and you do not want a subscription sitting around. If you already know you will generate in November and December, a subscription is usually less hassle than stacking packs.

Subscribe or pack?

  • Subscribe when the work is ongoing: weekly social, an always-on product studio, a team that also burns credits on stills in the same composer.
  • Buy a pack when the work is bounded: one launch film, a pitch, a class assignment.
  • Yearly when you will still be here in twelve months and you want the dollar discount. Do not buy yearly to “get more credits” — you get the same twelve-month grant, cheaper.
  • Stay on monthly if you might pause after a campaign.

Either way, credits spend on this model and on the other connected image and video models in the panel. There is no separate “video-only” wallet.

Planning a month without guessing

Use list rates to sanity-check a shot list, then confirm on the composer.

Example: twelve social clips, each a 5-second 720p image-to-video take, plus four 8-second 1080p keepers.

  • Twelve clips at 5 seconds and $0.095 per second = $5.70 list at 720p (before promo)
  • Four keepers at 8 seconds and $0.12 per second = $3.84 list at 1080p (before promo)
  • Shot-list list total ≈ $9.54 before promo, before stills, before retries

Retries dominate real budgets. If every keeper needs three motion drafts, count the drafts. 540p drafts are there so those extra takes stay cheap at list. After 1 December 2026, drop the 30% promo from your spreadsheet.

The composer will show credits, not a second dollar line, at submit time. Convert only if you need a finance export: 10 credits = $1.

Jobs, history, and other models

The composer submits one job from the panel at a time. There is no plan-based concurrency cap. Credits are charged per result that starts. Paid plans include generation history and downloads so you can retrieve a keeper without running it again.

The same wallet also spends on the other image and video models already in the composer (stills you iterate before animating, plus the other video rows in the menu). A Starter allowance is not “video-only.” If you generate a still, then animate it, you paid twice from one pool — which is usually cheaper than guessing a still you do not have. See the Preview guide for that still-then-motion loop.

Audio on or off is a creative flag on this model’s list ladder: the published per-second rates above do not split by soundtrack. Turn audio off when you will replace sound so you are not mixing a generated bed you will mute — not because the list rate changes.
